Anybody have an Elantra N? Do they hold up alright over time? I'm saving up for one with the DCT next summer. It's no Golf R but it still seems pretty cool.

anon, it’s simply knock-off japshit.

I don't get why KoreaCars can't migrate the Elantra N engine to the newest K4 exterior and interior
Anonymous No.28682667 [Report] >>28682905
Don't own one but from what I gathered, it's reliable enough if you take care of it.
People will say Theta II engines will blow up on you, but that was from a manufacturing fuck up that was fixed years before the Elantra N was even the engineers' wet dream.

I would recommend getting one. It's well known that guys who are actually rich and get pussy drive these.

>it's reliable enough if you take care of it.
>If you find it falls apart at about the 100k mile mark, it's your fault because of your maintenance
>Only a very small percentage of korean car owners have the capability to maintain a car
Odd how every other manufacturer finds customers that can get cars to hit 200k with regularity.

It's very powerful and has amazing tech in it if I had the money for it it'd be a no brainer. When I go to drag races they'll beat so much cars it's insane

Are you aware that the Elantra N has only been around for 4 years?
Anonymous No.28683044 [Report]
>>28683040
its still based on a slightly older version of their compact car platform (esp the interior) relative to the newest k4
its weird they don't migrate the engine to the newer interior and still use an old ass interior they don't really use otherwise
i dunno maybe the elantra is still ALL on that old thing and its just the k4 that got modernized
koreans are weird with their fake brands that are just duplicates

I'm not up to date with the current marketing jargon. Is the mighty n experience the kia boys or the constant recalls because korean cars self ignite?

it's 0-60 in 4.8 seconds, it's as fast around a track as a nissan z nismo or rc f track edition, it's all physical buttons and knobs, it's the best stock exhaust from a 4 banger, it's 10 yr/100k mile warranty, all for $35k

I feel like every review I've read for a BMW M product reads like an advertisement for just getting the 6 cylinder non-m product (ditto with Mercedes and AMG)
like the M440i or whatever you get most of the performance and a lot less cost/stiff ride

Man, I just drive the speed limit with a child seat in the back. It's nice to be able to merge on short on ramps to the freeway while spending less than $35K for something with heated wheel, ventilated/heated seats, and adaptive suspension.

The Elantra N doesn't leak fluid all over the fucking place at least once a year. People have been boosting the shit out of them with stock internals and so far, they're holding up. Yes it's a Hyundai, which as a brand has no cachet but their N cars are the real hard r.

But why? It can't put it down, neither can the CTR despite it's magic diff.

Once you are front-wheel grip-maxxed, you finally realize the whole RWD meme thing isn't a meme. Can't really put fat tires up front unless the only point is drag ("like your mom", etc).
