Unironically the truth, even a just works reliable car from a long time ago basically need its suspension rebuilt with new shocks, bushings, all the fucking motor mounts, probably the fucking headliner is sagging, stuff is seeping out of old seals, on and on and on you can spend real money on an old car if you want the experience to be the real deal and not a shitbox.

A couple of weeks ago I saw a light lime green Genesis plying one of Chicago's more genteel streets, and wanted it instantly. Pretty happy with what I drive, but I wonder what it's like behind the wheel of it, if it's effortless and intuitive in its ergonomics as my screenless 2003 masterpiece, lovely as it is otherwise from the driver's seat. Ir's not so much a matter of age exactly, but of a certain sweet spot when it comes to comfy sedans.
