Yeah, there are staffing agencies for CDL drivers. Can always tell them you just want something temporary. I’m sure there are some asphalt companies around you that may need an extra driver or two for the summer.
The difficulty will lie in you not having any experience. Most companies want a driver with at least 3mo experience. I started my trucking career driving around a bi-directional drill rig around but then also helping on the jobs, trenching, locating utilities, swapping drill heads… from there went to dump trucks then tankers hauling liquid asphalt. That one was the most cake, and paid the most but needed a year of experience
