When people say they have a 67mm turbo, what the fuck does that mean? I assume it's a compressor wheel measurement, but inducer or exducer?

And why are people so hung up on that particular measurement?

Is this measurement some tryhard forza 'car guy' lingo?

67 is the year it was made. vintage turbos are so popular right now.

It typically means the diameter of the compressor wheel.
But there's a lot of other things that affect the turbo like the hot side as well.

That's like saying you have a 5.0L V8.
But that could mean a 145hp or 500 horsepower engine

What are you retarded or something? The compressor wheel has an inducer and exducer measument. OPs question has absolutely nothing to do with the hotside. No, it is nothing like the HP output of a 5.0 v8. It's more like saying 5.0 is the value OP is after when asked how do people differentiate v8 engines.

The hot side effects the amount of CFM the turbo can output.
I'm saying you can't just look at the compressor wheel and draw all your conclusions from that.

I've used some smaller turbos on builds that spooled extremely quickly due to the small hot sides.
But if the turbo spools pretty quickly, then I'm sacrificing top end power.
But I've had a couple of Volvo Red blocks to 400 rear wheel horsepower with small turbos.

A 67mm turbo with a low AR trim will choke at high rpm but spool fast. I dont think you understand most of the things you talk about.

What concession? Are you just going to throw around 4chin buzzwords now?

OP asked what specifically is the measument used when people say they have a xxMM turbo, and youre talking about hotsides. You're a retard.

It means the turbo needs a turbo. You can never have enough heat soak. It's very healthy for modern plastic engines.

I am not an expert in the slightest and whenever I'd hear people spout of specifications of their car I'm willing to bet 90% of the time they got it modified by a garage and want to make their car sound WICKED SICK and spout whatever buzzword halfpipe nonsense they don't understand themselves. I'd resect them more if they said they got the car modified at a place and they installed this and that instead of talking like they did it themselves. Fandoms of every kind are such insufferable faggots
