The AWD is a clutch based system, ie haldex, which is not good but checks a box for women. If you lap one with AWD on you’ll be faster for a lap but the x drive cooks the front tires and then you understeer the rest of the session. It’s really just better to turn it off.
With 600hp though xdrive at least helps you from killing yourself.
It’s fine but having the option to turn it off is legitimately better for people who want performance in these.
Quattro is better at AWD.

Well, it decouples the front axle. Which means the car can be purely RWD if you choose. That's the big advantage of a system such as that.
