>go to mechanic and tell him my engine light is on
>he says he only changes your oil
>go to different mechanic and tell him the same thing
>sorry ma'am I only change tires
>try another one
>no I only do emmission tests
>go to yet another one
>he knows what I'm talking about and comes out to my car with a tool
>he tells me something needs to be replaced
>ask him to fix it
>oh I don't fix that
What the fuck, what the actual fuck. If my car stops working and I have to get a new one ill actually kill myself and stream it

Try the dealer or buy one of those obd2 scan tools and find out yourself. My Honda dealer is so comfy. I took it, he replaced the coil and the issue never came back.

Yet when I was working as a mechanic, all I got was bullshit oil change and tire swap jobs because those are all the managers take in nowadays.
They're risk free easy money, but if you have to start to take an engine apart, there's potential lost profits in there if the operation stretches due to unforeseen circumstances.

Yeah, it's a real problem. It seems like all the real mechanics quit after covid. Now it's all braindead drop outs who couldn't get a job at Walmart.
Might as well just do the work yourself now.

I had a Tacoma that needed those stupid donuts replaced and I found out within a week that every exhaust shop within 100 miles only cuts your muffler off and replaces it. I know what these buildings rent for how do you afford to rent a $3500/mo commercial building sitting on your hands doing a couple $50 jobs a day? Entire fucking world is fake from the bottom to the top. Took me a weekend that I would have rather spent fucking around

So you went to jiffy lube, a tire shop, an emissions tester, and autozone and were surprised they weren't mechanics?
Is this bait or is there such thing as someone this stupid?

You took a Honda to the dealer to replace a coil pack? The coil pack is $20 on Amazon. It's held in by a single bolt and a wire. It takes 2.5 minutes to replace if you take your time. I bet you gave those thieves $500.
