I assume by "commute" you mean daily driver, as there is no way in fuck I would continue working for anyone in such a hypothetical situation.

Now, if I were to hit it big, I would probably have a small stable of cars, buy things that interest me, use them until I'm bored of them, sell and go buy something else. So my first lotto garage would look like Countach, Autozam AZ-1 (Mazdaspeed), McLaren 675LT. I would probably send my current Toyota Tundra off to be completely refurbished so I would have something handy and a sentimental thing to have.
But my daily would be something like a Tesla S or X with FSD for boring tasks like going to the dentist or getting groceries so I can just plug in a destination and let Elon be my chauffeur.

a ship is female because it carries humans inside it and keeps them safe from death. It has a berth. Cars don't have a berth. You generally don't sleep inside a car, although a car does have a cabin. If all ships are female, are all RVs? All trucks with a camper? Where is the line drawn?

Ultimately a machine spirit's gender identity is up to the machine spirit, is it not?

machine spirits are always feminine because they just do whatever the fuck they want sometimes and you as the husband of a mechanical retard horse need to take care of her at least as long as you want the relationship to last. why wouldn't you just think of machines like cute girls? they wouldn't get away with that kind of behaviour if they were ugly.

That’s literally my car.
In this case, lottery money would get me a Hellephant, dual Walbros and a trunk fuel cell to increase the total fuel capacity.
The TR6060 would get straight and sequential gears to handle the 1.3kHP.

I’d also pay someone to wash it properly.

>You just won a big lottery prize, what car do you buy for your daily commute?
I don't know what constitutes a big lottery win, but I'd go for a Smart car, drive it until the engine is tired, and swap in something way more powerful.

A big lotto win might only be $100k. Not a life changing amount of money. Now, a jackpot would be life changing.

I drove a civi type r for a few years, liekd it, but now I'm at a weird point where I want performance but not quite that stiff of a suspension. What fits the bill?
I'm thinking one of these someday:
(ofc a ct5 would be better but I need to be reasonable!)
or a bmw 330 or m3 I guess.
or maybe a camaro 1le but that is less practical than both of the above and zero visibility...

M cars are notoriously stiffly sprung. It comes from dentists not knowing the difference between discomfort and effective suspension. If there's a dealer in your area, you'll be happier with a quadrifoglio, which is both comfy and unusual. Expect something to go wrong in the first six months of daily driving, then nothing ever again

I live in a city where I don't need to drive much. Because of this, I already have a wildly impractical classic and use my girlfriends Mazda 3 a lot of the time.

If I won the lottery I would buy her a safe, rich milf type SUV and I would keep the Mazda until I got a financial advisor who could help me plan on buying a house with a big enough barn for the rest of the Mopars I'd be buying

A blue LFA. It's the best sounding car that is actually reasonably daily driveable and also the only cool car Lexus ever made (fanboys with shitty 20 year old IS or 30 year old SC are going to fly into an apoplectic rage in the replies over this statement).

For times when I need space for my kids I would buy a W140 S70 AMG with brilliant exhaust's headers and valved mufflers so it howls on demand.

>t. never actually driven one
Those are all basic quality of life mods that make it far more usable on the street and don't alter the soul of the car. It's not like it's a 350+t400 swap.
I've put a lot of miles on a '32 V12 with the tall rear and steering mods. It would cruise at 75 on the highway like it was nothing and was very fun and smooth to drive. Easily the one of the most comfortable, realistically affordable pre-war cars I've driven.
