Now that the Maverick 300T exists, do you really have any reason not to buy one?

My girlfriend says they look like small penis cars not trucks.

She actually laughed when I showed her pictures.

She laughed harder when I showed her the engine power figures.

The power figures and 0-60 on every maverick engine option are all probably better than what she drives

"Car girls" hate Mavericks because they always love Subaru, and the Maverick is basically a direct subaru competitor to their whole lineup, but cheaper more reliable and more logical.

Considering the Maverick 2.0L option just got a power reduction for 2025 because the transmission was weak on the old ones, just bolting on a bigger turbo is probably an awful idea. They do require the 4k tow kit which adds extra cooling, but wtf is the point of this truck with 300hp? It's already very fast with the hybrid and it's 247lb-ft torque combined output. Not much high end but low end is what you need in both a truck and getting around comfortably.

I own a Maverick and it pisses off every Subaru girl. Way more people are interested in it than bashing it.

The hybrid is the only one to buy, it's both more reliable and cheaper than the EcoBoost and it's also faster 0-60 for the first couple seconds - which is what matters more in daily driving. Power down low.

What does the 300T have that makes it a better truck? Is it now body on frame? Is the engine now longitudinally mounted? Is there at least a non direct-injected engine option now? Is there now a single cab option at least? Did they at least lower the MSRP to make it a $20k truck in base trim as was promised?
No to all of those things? You mean it's now just a pigfat auto-only Focus ST wearing a "pickup" costume? Damn. Neat for those that want a '''sporty''', compact, unibody CUV LARPing as a pickup truck I suppose but I'll pass.

Well there no mild hybrid manual or geared auto

You don't seem to understand that the 0-30 is faster than every other stock truck on the road. It immediately has electric torque served to 4 wheels and spools up to the ~5600rpm max and holds it. When you floor it you experience maximum power output within 1 second without gradual acceleration, it just fuckin launches

You faggots can keep going on about your shitty manual vehicles that haven't been made for over 20 years and/or act like there's some sort of invisible alternative in new vehicles that isn't a poverty spec NA 4 cylinder colorado or tacoma with a 12 second 0-60

How much can it tow?
What sort of MPG does it get?

If its cheaper and gets better MPG than a Ranger; but can still tow a decent load it might be interesting. I can't see it being much fun to drive though if that's what they're going for.

>Powertrains for the 2025 Ford Maverick remain the same - buyers can choose from the 2.5-liter Hybrid system - which is once again the standard powertrain - or the turbocharged 2.0-liter EcoBoost I-4. The latter model has lost 12 horsepower compared to the outgoing 2024 Maverick, however, due to the addition of a gasoline particulate filter.

My wife has a 2024 XLT with AWD. It's a good little daily for rural AB, handles the winters well.

It has better fuel economy than her 2015 Honda civic and has been reliable so far, she got the 4k towing package too so if she wants to haul her horse she doesn't need to borrow my truck either which is also nice.

Its pretty comfy, zippy and it goes A to B I give it a 7/10 but it also allows my wife to buy animals without telling me now so Im giving it a 6/10, I dont want anothervhighland cow

most F150 drivers would be better off with a Maverick and they're too scared to admit it.

My actual truck, the silver one is more of a direct competitor to the Maverick, I am tempted to get a 2wd F150 street truck similar to the silver one for the lower entry and 24 mpg this would replace my daily driver Honda.
