Why Because it stayed reliable for it's 4 year lease? I guess that is a feat for a Modern Honda though.

I drive a 2017, manual fit. It's just awesome.

I used to meme on them pretty hard back in the day.

Then I bought one, and it’s the most balanced, complimentary vehicle I have ever owned. There is a lot of engineering in to them and I am a convert. Anyone who does anything more than minor mods completely destroys the car.

I’m even looking in to seeing how the civic and accord and Prelude all compare.

He probably means the head gasket leakdowns that have been happening because Honda and Ferd feel the need to make a fucking weak spot on the cylinder head for coolant to go through and cool the motor, but the thing just blows and causes water to sit on the piston and misfire when you cold crank it, the CVTs themselves are pretty good if you fluid change it regularly, Hondas unfortunately are a victim of their own brand image, shitty owners buy it thinking they're gonna drive and not do maintenance or something, but the head gasket is a real travesty because it just sort of happens.

Honda head-gasket leak? What has the world come to? If not for Toyota and Honda what do I choose?

You buy the non turbo 2.0L Civic, it's 150HP but it's a brand new car that is nice and will stay running.
