OP is talking about 137 km/h speed limits. Why do you think surface streets in urban areas would have a 137 limit?

I have no idea why so many of you are getting stuck at 70mph or slower. I routinely see hispanics in their work trucks hauling shit at 90mph in the left 2 lanes with nothing but some shock cords and a catholic prayer to keep shit tied down in the trailer. At night here you can hear the inline 4s trying to see where their bikes redline in 4th and 5th gear.

In my state, Various cameras are installed and owned by private companies and they don’t have the authority to take pics & issue legally binding tickets or do anything really and you can just throw the “ticket” in the trash with zero repercussions. It’s quite fun.
Any competent White American is going to have the wits, skills and experience to freely speed under almost any reasonable circumstance.
It’s quite Liberating.

What a load of bullshit, I've researched this and America is pretty liberal as far as speed limits go compared to Europe and in particular the UK, Ireland, Scotland, France as well as many other places. Thats not even mentioning the mandatory speed limiters they will have in Europe soon.

They already have those, but the regulation gives passenger cars some options for how to enforce the limits. Most just make annoying chime noises for a few seconds when you go over the limit. The regulation technically allows cars to just slow down on their own or push back against the driver's attempts to press the pedal, but I'm not aware of any car that does that. Commercial trucks have been limited to 80-90 kph as long as I can remember.
Since the "driver aids" must be on at startup but may be disabled afterwards, some car makers already added a button that can disable them all in one press so you can drive normally without distractions.
I suspect those regulations are written by people who don't own cars or at least don't drive them outside NPC hives. Those automated safety assists are not exactly perfect, and tend to be quite dangerous in poor driving conditions.

Every time I see footage of american highways it's like 3 lanes and people going at whatever speed they want in whatever lane they want.
In EU, you have a highway with 2 lanes, slowshitters use the right lane and the left lane is only used for overtaking so you can easily cruise at the limit with zero worries of getting cockblocked.
