Carmakers Make cars that suck because they hate us
>picrel
They say we have to have shit like electronic power steering, brake-by-wire, auto start/stop, shitty automatic gearboxes, unreliable hybrid drivetrains, etc. in order to meet increasingly stringent emissions & efficiency regulations (which are never voted on in our "democracies" btw, weird).
And yet they could simply just add a $30 bottle of this to every new car and instantly get 1% better gas mileage. If the regulations are so stringent, why overlook something this cheap & easy? They could add a $30 bottle of this and give us back hydraulic power steering, for a net change of zero in terms of efficiency. That seems worth it to me, and certainly what I would do if I were a manufacturer who listened to their customers.

doesn't matter. Automakers just need to pass emissions once during certification. After that no one does actual sniffer tests on old cars to see if they're maintaining the same mpg or emissions. And even if they did, you could just put in the manual: "add ceratec every 30,000km"

this sounds like volkswagen's dieselgate all over again lol

>"add ceratec every 30,000km"

Emission standards are meant to be reached out of factory, with zero input from the end user (who is considered dumb like a doornail)

That's why RVS is far superior.

the low hanging fruit on improving fuel economy is leaning harder into aerodynamics, but consumers might not like the way that looks.

good luck. the majority of new car sales in the country are trucks. brick shaped objects with low self esteem owners. they'll never go for that "sissy aero crap. I need a real trugg built by beautiful men"

Retards can’t even handle putting DEF in their diesels every once in a while, never mind actually maintaining any fluid but oil (and even this they fail at), and you’re expecting them to put Ceratec in every fuel up to save 1% on em pee gees? Really nigga?

ceratec lasts for 30,000km. So every 3 oil changes

if there’s one thing i’ll give you euros credit for, it’s actually maintaining your cars

Consumers don't really car so long:
1. Car is practical enough, especially with enough space for the dog cage in the back, a tumble dryer, and the kids
2. It actually drives well

Last time I checked, the Tesla 3 Highlander with 0.219 Cd is a popular vehicle.
Y Juniper is edging on ,22 as well. And that is very popular as well. Its not the customers fault the OEM isn't willing to do their job

EVs are cheating when it comes to drag coefficients.
The front grill on a gas car produces most of the drag.
EVs don't need a front grill for air flow.
Anonymous No.28710070 [Report]

they make the grills much larger and wider than they need to be for aesthetic purposes, not because they require that much airflow.

There are a thousand things today that how they were made to look 100 years ago you won't or don't like, and 100 years from now people won't like a thousand things from today.

Who fucking cares what the shithead masses think.
Just make it work the best.
