xjr is supercharged 4.0l v8 with some 390hp, pneumatic suspension and luxurious interior. I expect it to be a money pit, but unless it's more than half of car's value per year I should be able to afford it. Yes, I have a backup beater.
Please talk me out of it.

Sounds like you have your finances thought out. If you're income is solid, go for it. BTW it doesn't matter what vehicle it is - at 12+ years, the air suspension is very "iffy". Almost every carmaker uses the same continental airbags and they DO eventually wear out.

Constant leaks and you can't fix them as it is age related. No one makes new ones so you are stuck with finding less-leaking valve covers than yours.
Superb interior though, hopefully yours still has the Motorola in it.
