Have you ever considered going /out/ dressed as Bigfoot, just to add to the legend? You know it would *actually* change your life forever if you REALLY thought you'd seen the real thing with your own eyes. You'd never forget it.

I live a mile from a popular campground, and have often considered getting stilts and a cryptid costume to roam the area at 3am. It's not a historical cryptid fantasy area, so I don't feel I'd be contributing to the retardation of society - just creating a new campfire story for some city slickers. I wouldn't want to terrorize anyone/risk getting shot. I'd just silently roam the shadows in the middle of the night, maybe just stare at some loud teens until they noticed something was out there and then slip away. But it's a lot of money and effort, so I'm probably never going to bother.

Another idea I had was to cover myself in glowstick liquid (it's nontoxic) and walk across a nearby field around midnight. Same idea.

Another one would be to hold a realistic sasquatch cosplay meetup/flashmob. Campers suddenly seeing 100 sasquatch migrating through their campground would be pretty funny.

Why dress up for it? I've had people claim they'd seen a "wild man" (european bigfoot, basically) and show me blurred pictures taken from around a hundred meters away. Turned out it was me, hiking topless and with camo shorts. Guess that happens when you've got enough testosterone to grow full body hair, and don't like shaving.
