Have goals beyond "go up this peak"
Take a rifle and go hunting
Take a foraging book and look for uncommon plants
Maybe paddle to a hike
Smoke some weed
Bring a book

Find a more interesting hobby

I pick long trails that take like 5 hours. Then i drive around. Then i make food. Then i do another shorter trail. Then i make food. Then i make fire. Then i sleep.
Car camping is cool because you're not stuck doing just the few trials you can walk to.

Practice survival skills. Hunt and fish. Build your own shelters. Make traps and water filtration pits. Then argue with people on the internet who don't own a single firearm and only carry a Swiss army knife.

Fall camping is the best camping. There's no comparison. Everything is just infinitely cozier. Plus you can go hiking/biking/etc. without sweating your nutsack off

4chan is the only social media i use
i made a dummy facebook account for checking businesses that only use facebook cuz facebook is literally jewish and makes you log in to see the hours of a business, but other social media sites are more annoying about making a login so i just mostly avoid them or rarely will use social media "viewer" sites to see content
having to log in to view photos and text is abhorrent

Is there any place you can go /out/ for a few nights that is out of phone/data range? Because that's most places for me.

If it's a nice night I'll sit out from under the shelter with my chair reclined right back and enjoy the great milky way. If you're somewhere dark enough and let your eyes adjust it is honestly a breathtaking, emotional and moving sight. I've sat there for 2 hours just looking up at the stars.

Set goals and buy gear specifically designed to achieve those goals. Adjust your mentality and temperament to the brands that you pay a lot of money for. Show your friends and family. Make your friends and family understand and agree with you. Don't give up. Believe in yourself and your objectives. When people try to deflect you from your camping gear brand goals, they are lying and trying to peel you away from yourself and the truth of yourself. Don't let them.

Previous reports have documented an improvement in night vision among Jamaican fishermen after ingestion of a crude tincture of herbal cannabis, while two members of this group noted that Moroccan fishermen and mountain dwellers observe an analogous improvement after smoking kif, sifted Cannabis sativa mixed with tobacco (Nicotiana rustica). Field-testing of night vision has become possible with a portable device, the LKC Technologies Scotopic Sensitivity Tester-1 (SST-1). This study examines the results of double-blinded graduated THC administration 0-20 mg (as Marinol) versus placebo in one subject on measures of dark adaptometry and scotopic sensitivity. Analogous field studies were performed in Morocco with the SST-1 in three subjects before and after smoking kif. In both test situations, improvements in night vision measures were noted after THC or cannabis.

marinol is weird shit
it's enantiomerically pure THC, so it's just one mirror image molecule where normally you would have two, and it gets you high, but in a less pleasant and more intense way and a way that's definitely more paranoia inducing than normal plant-derived cannabis extracts

how do you pack astro gear? i've been trying to find some kind of waterproof duffel bag that can organize a power station, camera, 200mm lend, star adventurer GTI, ipad, guide scope, asiair mini, tripod, and all the cables n shiet. that won't really interfere with a backpack, bump around, or let shit freeze

i usually treat camping as a means to an end
like if i want to be somewhere very early to hike or birdwatching or something
camping (as in, being at a campsite) in itself isn't really very fun if you are alone
