Is it possible to access the overlook circled in red from yellow @ Laurel Snow in TN. It looks like private land and housing from the map, and they want you to access it all the way far away @ orange circled area, but it would be a heckuva shortcut if it works

Why would we know. Call the landowner and ask. Or lose some weight and do the hike. These are terrible threads

I emailed them, the guy who manages it is out till July 7th. I looked it up and the overlook isn't really worth all that walking. There's another overlook on the other side of the gorge, at the top of the switchbacks that actually looks bettr, but really what I'm looking for is easy-ish overlooks anywhere along the Cumberland Front/Cumberland Trail in this broader area, not necessarily only in Laurel-Snow.

I would kill for detroit style pizza in the area. If you know of where that exists between Knoxville and Chattanooga, let me know.

I am somewhat of retarded bum expert when it comes to looking at maps. I look at maps for spots/access all the time. Here you go, king. Park at the coordinates and you can walk the power lines to the area you're trying to get to.

that takes him right up to a creek, and then he has to either keep going into the woods climbing, or follow the creek back until he reaches the trail

the area doesn't look bad though, not steep or too overgrown. i would probably go for it if for some reason my only objective was to get there while walking the least amount of distance

yeah the creek exists no matter what if he tries to approach from this side, you just can't see it behind the houses he's circled in his op picture, this access has the least elevation. Op is probably a fatass

OP's fatass won't even walk up that switchbacked trail and you're sending him on a bushwhack up the SE face that's a 50-70° slope at the very end lol

I've not been to Prentice Cooper SF, so I can't speak to its difficulty, but that place looks like it has some killer overlooks.
