You can't /out/ 24x7 like you larpers think you can. It's important that when you're not /out/ you have a good place to call home, which California has plenty of.

It isn't, though. The majority of this board struggles with something as basic as going outside.
It's sad.

And all the Indians, Koreans, and Chinese overwhelming every state park, national park, national monument, etc. Anything of note, even just locally famous spots, will be swarmed, littered, and crammed.

I went to LA last year and went to the parks around like to see the Hollywood sign. Not a single Indian or chink, unlike what I saw when I was at yellowstone. Just nips, hispanics and white people, way more beautiful.

>hysterical reeeeeeing

I've been to all of the above in the last 3 months. None of them the were "overwhelmed" much less by foreigners. The worst was the NP and the overwhelmingly vast majority of the visitors were white, american retards.

Blaming overcrowding of Parks on foriegn visitation is ignorance disguised as gaslighting. Less than 20% of visitors to Yellowstone are from overseas. fucking retard.

Calling bullshit. I've been to Yellowstone now twice in the past year. Once in October and another time in early June. Chinese, sure. Jeets? Absolutely not. In Yellowstone the Chinks are far far far far more prevalent than jeets by a long shot.

I just drove thru Yellowstone 2 days ago. It was packed as fuck with tourists but the vast majority of them were not foriegners. A lot of douchebags from Texas and Florida tho...

I was just explaining the tragedy of California to my children this morning. So many great things to say about that state but for all its wonders its so full of fags that at best it's one of those vacation destinations you hit in between the real vacations. I'm glad you like it though, OP. Please stay there.

Driving through Yellowstone, or any national park is retarded, sitting in a traffic jam all day to see the same shit at a crowded pullout with piss wipes in the bushes. If you managed to walk your fat ass 1 mile down one of the thousands of trailheads you would've landed yourself in one of the most incredible wildernesses on the planet. No Chinese tour busses full of traveller diarrhea spraying retards ready to standing-spackle the nearest all over the toilet, no garbage, no sweaty Texans, just fuckin' grizzly bears, wolves, beavers, and eagles.

Next time you come to Yellowstone Anon enter through the Beartooth Highway in Montana, pick a lake with a primitive campground 5+ miles from the trailhead, stay there for 3 nights while you hit day hikes in the area and eat fish you catch from the lake, have yourself a real adventure that you'll remember for the rest of your life. You do that and you'll come back home with seed so potent and so grateful you're not sleeping on the ground in grizzly bear country anymore that you'll keep your wife pregnant for years.

Oh no, places with high pay only a couple hours from some of the greatest nature in the entire world!
The city is your home base, it enables you to go comfortably on expeditions. Need dental work, healthcare, miscellaneous equipment, and a stable income?
Awesome, its right there, and you can leave at 5pm after work on a Friday in time to catch a sunset at your favorite spot, camp overnight, and spend all of Saturday hiking around.
Then, back home and cozy before 9pm on Saturday, and still have a full day off to reset for the next work week.
Big cities with access to the outdoors is the way to go, especially as you get older and your body demands more attention from medical professionals and longer periods of time to reset from hikes and physical activity.

Probably bait, but still. This isn’t the flex you think it is.

California doesn’t just have three cities. It has 15. I guess that’s a technicality because places like Oakland and San Fransisco are two separate incorporated cities. But there are 15 cities with populations over 250k. There are 26 (!) with populations over 150k. Overall the state is t very densely populated, but everything is sort of squeezed into a valley or near the coast.
>so what?
Your “leave work at 5pm to hit the trail” LARP left out the part where you get there and the parking lot is full. There’s no denying that CA has some great outdoor opportunities, but you’re either driving several hours or hiking a dozen miles before the crowds thin out. That’s fine for occasional big trips (I drive 9 hours to GSMNP twice a year), but not a casual Sunday hike.

>the parking lot is full
have you even been to california? Park somewhere thats not a tourist trap / major attraction.
Hell, even if you do go somewhere that IS a tourist trap / major attraction, you can easily find parking and get away from other people within 30 minutes of hiking.
>t. been to sequoia during different seasonal peaks (arguably the biggest attraction in norcal), easily found parking and was away from others even 1 km away from the lot
>same for Yosemite
Unless you cannot bear being undoors without yourself being the only person within 20 miles of the parking lot, California is perfectly fine.
Most of the city dwellers don't even leave the damn city they live in, and if they do, its for a crowded local park within 2h of their neighborhood.

You skipped where I said you have to drive several hours to avoid overcrowding.
