Sucks for you if you don't live in a region with ample public land that you feel the need to trespass. Have you considered contacting the landowners to ask for access? Otherwise just go. Be respectful of the land, don't go anywhere near homes or risk getting confronted or shot at, immediately agree to leave if you do get confronted, and for the love of god don't broadcast and geotag any interesting finds on the internet or social media

I hunt and hike exclusively on private property. Nice rule here in NH - if the land isn't posted no trespassing, it's open for use. You can't "modify" it like putting up permanent tree stands or excessively clearing it, but a bit of bushwhacking is fine.
The lot behind to my house is 60 acres and landlocked, kind of no man's land just forest that's been logged somewhat recently (not clearcut). I found a lot of beer cans with bullet holes in them deep in it, and hear people shooting pretty often.

I do but my house is also on it so, no need to camp. No water other than a tiny stream and mucky wetlands so no fishing. Just hunt, trap, hike around and explore. I like to identify all the different plants.
