In Ireland we have what's referred to as"no wilderness" where the furthest you can get from a house is like 3.5-7 km (2-4 miles). Honestly wish they just made all of our national parks forestry and banned commercial woods.

and the part i forgot to mention, i got roe deer, moose and reindeer in my garden, i got a fantastic view, i can hike from my home, river to fish in is 500m away, i can tow my boat to one of the 8 lakes from 5 to 30 min drive away if i dont carry my packraft somewhere off the road path to a multitude of small lakes or rivers. there is people around im not totally isolated and i have internet, either 5g or fiber, currently on 5g. jobs is anything from 10min to 1,5h drive away but so where they when i lived in the city only now there is no rush hour only reindeers camping on the road.

refrigeration tech and installer. there are stores here, there are business and industry. they might have brand name chain deals buy in the end when shit hits the fan im closer than any guy from their office. i did a callout today, its 1,5h drive for me and i replaced a relay, it would be 6h drive for them.
350€ before tax and parts and i got to do some shopping as well and its the most comfy drive imaginable with a great view most of the way.
