I remember I did Rainier last year and some retards normies kept looking at me like I was some insane person while I was hiking with all my gear during the approach. the ironic thing is once you get into going out and your legs get stronger and you get faster on bad terrain, you can do pretty decent hikes without a backpack, if you eat well before going and there is water available on the trail

I pretty routinely hike 10-15 miles with no pack just a jug of water+orange juice+potassium
