you're not gonna find what you looking for. you dont need to buy land to go outside. if you live in the west go in any direction for 10 miles and you'll run into public land, and if your deal is you don't want to be around people so much of it is entirely isolated for miles no trails no roads, you don't need to spend 500,000+ to go outside. if your out east and want land that you can do , "economically meaningful activities on " that property is gonna be just as if not more expensive then out west and have neighbors on all sides

To a certain extent.
NGL I would like some land but I need to know how to buy it and what to look out for.
I noticed that nearly all property one can find listed publicly is sized in area such that nearly all sales require an up-front investment in the hundreds of thousands of dollars, which is fucked. How does a person buy anything without taking out a loan or something else drastically reckless?

Can't have your cake and eat it. Anything that will actually make a decent amount of money for you will require lots of time and work that will destroy the nature (intensive farming, building and renting out homes).

You can do some small scale stuff like a hybrid chestnut grove or exotic berries like haskap but that won't make that much money. And you can't just leave it alone because nature will take over extremely quickly without regular maintence.

Honestly, with land and self-employment (and presumably also a house to live in) comes a bunch of work.
I had much more time and energy to go out when I just rented a little box, and my only professional worry as a toiler was to show up to work on time.
Not saying it's an exclusively bad idea, but you do want to know what you're getting into

There are recreational properties available out there, they're usually cheaper by acre because you can't build on them, but you also usually have to buy a large parcel. They don't usually have road access either.

I've been looking at land in thirdie countries like Zimbabwe recently, some pretty nice packages for like $13,000 for 1000m2, apart from probably having to arm myself to the teeth if I decided to actually use the land is this a good deal?

Find a nice spot, find the owner, kill them. Repeat with each new owner and scatter spooky stuff on the property until blackrock outbids you and you gotta start over

You'll find cheaper deals on land (in the USA) if you search on fb marketplace or Craigslist. Sellers usually post there, vs. realtors that post for over market value on Zillow, realtor.com etc. similar to buying a car from owner vs a dealership.

>You'll find cheaper deals on land (in the USA) if you search on fb marketplace or Craigslist
I keep trying to do that but it seems sus, as in, why aren't the neighbors trying to buy it as soon as it comes on the market? What do they know about the property, that I don't, that makes them not want to buy, considering the easiest way to increase the value of land holdings is to buy adjacent land to make it bigger.

>grow or synthesize drugs on your land
That makes it a target for criminal forfeiture if the prosecutor can make the case that the ownership of the land constructively served towards the criminal enterprise.

lol. moving the goalposts seems like a familiar cope to you.

Its true you cant camp in that particular parcel of public land but there are places all over santa clara county where you can camp. There are numerous state parks within an hours drive of San Jose where you can camp- Butano, Big Basin Redwoods, Ano Nuevo etc...

Have you ever looked at a map? are you being purposely obstinate or are you indeed truly a retard? please answer this question

Those are all private or state camping grounds where they make you pay and have rules. It's not really public as opposed to federal land. By your logic you can just chill on sidewalk because it's le public too.

Some people contact the heirs of people who have died but don't know their entitled to land, then offer them a price significantly below market rate. sometimes they take it cause they don't want to deal with selling the property themselves

If you want to camp for free, BLM land is really your only option in most of California.

>Also are they safe to go to?
Now that is the question isn't it. You can legally camp on BLM land for 14 days. So Homeless will sometimes set up camp on BLM land and hope they don't get kicked out like they will in the city(my city anyway, Shasta county not bay area) That said, I camp along the Sacramento River several times a year and have never had a problem. I almost never even see anyone else that's not in my group. And that's the second point, I always go down the river and camp in a group. I don't think I'd do it alone. I've almost been jumped at rest stops along I5 twice, I'm just glad I ccw and they ran when I reached. California is not a safe state...

Yeah I think the closest one to me is by Yuba. A buddy of mine went there camping but he had a shotgun with him in his car and he had some friends living in that area so they probably hung out with him. I was thinking about going there by myself but I'm nogunz so probably not a good idea. Is that camping group your friends or just some random people that got together over Facebook?

>Perhaps you might rent a box, maybe even a bigger box, outside of the brown areas?
Then it costs more.
I'd rather own my own home and land than fork over money to some shitbag (((landlord))) every month. Renting is like burning money. At least with land and a house, you can get the money you paid for it back if you sell it. You might even make more than you paid.
Anonymous No.2843394 [Report]

So if I ever decide to go there I should probably stick somewhere near to a group of people to be safe. Or go deeper into the woods because I don't think fucktards that jump random people will be far from a road. Need some kind of a navigation though.
