Some people claim it's healthier, others claim it can make you very sick. The truth lies somewhere in the middle. Raw milk does contain living enzymes and good bacteria, but you CAN get very sick from it IF it's contaminated, either through unsanitary handling, or if it came from a diseased cow.
I've had the opportunity to try raw milk, but I never have, because I don't think the benefits would outweigh the potential risks. Pasteurized milk is healthy enough for me. It contains all of the same proteins, fats, and essential vitamins/minerals. If I had my own dairy cows and I was doing all the processing myself, I might give it a shot. But I don't trust someone else to do it safely for me.
I've met people who grew up on farms that claim they've been drinking it their whole lives and have never gotten sick. I believe them. I also believe that there are people in India who have been bathing in the Ganges river their whole lives and have never gotten dysentery.
