If you're not making big prints, there is no reason to use a proper camera for landscape anymore lol.
Everything is in focus, everything is properly exposed just by pushing a button once.

Can you read? "If you're not making big prints"
I could print those in in 4x6 " just fine. He either cropped in or has a shitty phone.
If you can get to the right spot with a flagship phone, you can take an uncropped photo that is detailed enough for an A2 print, which roughly translates to a 27 inch screen. Depending on the subject and view distance you could go even bigger.

No one makes prints anymore. We share on computers. The primary use case for landscapes is 4k wallpapers.

On a 4k display phone photos look awful and there are actually noticeable benefits all the way up to 100mp cameras, and 6k and 8k PC screens are soon to be the norm

Seriously who the fuck wants a 4x6 of a landscape?

>A2 from a phone
No. 16 pro photos look like shit on a 15" 4k laptop an a2 is going to be just as bad. You are rockwell-brained with regards to image quality and defend cheeto mountain tier ai enhanced slop.

People who could accept phone photos, especially modern sloppified phone photos, are going to be the ones telling AI to generate a photo of them in paris by next year

Large sensor ILC sales are curiously as prolific as the middle/far right end of the IQ bell curve. Before digital they were, and they are returning to the mean.

You're just too deep in your tech consumer bubble.
21.27% of desktop users in N.America use 1920x1080 while the desktop PC is becoming less popular compared to phones.
4k isn't even in the top 10 of most used desktop resolutions and you're talking about 8k. 1440p is just now making an debut at 3.75%.

>15" 4k
lol

>No one makes prints anymore
Wrong
>The primary use case for landscapes is 4k wallpapers
And actual wallpapers, for which view distance, ambient light and placement is a factor.
>Seriously who the fuck wants a 4x6 of a landscape?
They are perfect for small rooms, tight spaces and side tables, where the view distance is automatically close. Or places where a large picture would be too distracting like on a dressing table or at a kitchen sink.

>Take landscape photo with phone
>Does focus bracketing and exposure bracketing, adjusts exposure -contrast -highlights -shadows -noise -sharpens

>How dare you?

I hate the oversharpening and AI filling in detail though.

You're thinking too much about statistics. Like a shekel hoarder. The business, entrepeneur mindset really is the philosophical ideal for an american, isn't it? People are customers and customers are capital is one way to think of things. But have you thought of thinking like part of society, instead of a business?
>Most mobile users are uncaring idiots and children. I don't really care if there's more there than they can appreciate going to waste, and could probably entertain them with absolute garbage. My enjoyment of my own photos will always be thousands of time more important to me than phonelies.
>People still using 1920x1080 are in another class, really, people who arent even rich have macbook airs now. Like holy shit daquan, go to starbucks and steal a new mac.
>Desktop/laptop use becoming less popular is more about computing going from democratized, like it was briefly, to a class thing. Computers cost money, there are government programs that hand out smartphones for free, and cheap android+prepaid shit. The lower classes of consumers forego computers. The upper classes of producers are hanging on to them because we kind of have to, phones make a lot of stuff unreliable and inconvenient or straight up impossible.
I'm not friends or acquainted with anyone who doesn't have a non-phablet computing device that has a screen lower res than 4k. If extra quality is wasted on distant people, I don't care, the extra quality is there for me and the people I know.

And nah 4x6s from phones are not adequate. I know this from my mother's extensive snapfishing. When my 4x6s from a fucking sub-1" sensor PNS are mixed in there is a clear difference and when it's a 4x6 from a 24mp+ FF or APS-C the colors and everything are nicer than the 4x6s you used to get from higher end 1 hr photos. Micro four thirds and 1" and down have noticeably worse color/contrast but acceptable detail, to from real cameras to phones and you can tell especially if people are in the frame.

you have a decent moment there but the fraem is cramped in the left half, leaving a dead spot in the bottom right. different composition and exposure could have isolated subjects more.
