I like pretty much all of these. You should print out your best ones from every year and make an album. For the cinematic wide ones I would pick 3 that seem like they go together and stack them vertically. Then make a print of that. Might be something people would buy

Thanks. I've thought about just making a few prints to hang around the house but I'm not sure if these are high res (too noisy) enough to be blown up for sale, or if anyone would actually be interested in buying these but I appreciate that.

This is nice, I only wish you used a tripod to get the sharpness

you don't have much to loose. Set something up on ebay and if someone buys then go print one and send it. If not no big deal

Good work overall

some Halpern inspiration?
>>4433721
I'm not bothered that it isn't 100% sharp, you have a very nice eye for photography and made this board a little better
Thanks for sharing

I’m unfamiliar with Halpern but I appreciate the comparison and kind words.

As for sharpness, I know it’s a meme but Fuji cameras are truly just not sharp. Most of the pics were taken with a Fuji XT4 and a the kit zoom lens, so that also does not help. I don’t really mind pictures not being razor sharp because I kinda degrade them in post a bit anyway.

Here's the photo by Halpern that I was thinking about
Are they really not sharp or was it you not being immobile while using a zoom lense? Anyways it didn't bother me

where is the metadata you con artist?
Anonymous No.4442069 [Report]
>>4442066
metadata hasnt worked since the board got hacked m8. ill tell you that all pics were taken with either a fuji x-t4 or ricor griiix, except the very first picture which is a canon rebel t2i.

This would be called a snapshit and instantly dismissed by people here.

Visual illiteracy runs rampant among us.
Anonymous No.4445224 [Report]

it is a snapshit. the art world is a myopic ivory tower circlejerk. its just a bunch of people who are rich enough but not smart enough doing everything they can to feel like they are clever and cultured by now.

since it would just be redundant to reply to the rest of your photos, I want to know what three pieces of photography advice you wish you had when you started out. maybe some things you realised recently, or a while ago, that you always put into practice now and don’t know how you ever got by without them before.

Op here, thanks.

Idk if I’m good enough to give advice but id say post-processing makes a good picture great, but it will never polish a turd. I’ve taken pictures I thought would be awesome only to sit in LR for an hour adding masks and random colors the shadows only to realize the reason it doesn’t look good is because it isn’t good.

For what I like to take pictures of, having good light and being there is 99% of the equation.

And don’t be afraid to spam pictures. If you come across a good scene, capture as much data as you can, fundamentally that’s all a camera is.

>post-processing will never polish a turd
this is how I felt after I spent an hour applying masks to a photo of my brother
it didn’t matter what I did, the photo was just trash to begin with because there was an under-exposed subject against an over-exposed background
>spam pics
I usually don’t do this because I’ve convinced myself it’s “amateur” but fuggit,
I really should take advantage of all the digital space I have to store data. I am an amateur anyway. I don’t know where all my pride comes from…
