Are there any cameras with a "focal length" selector dial, where it uses the high megapixel sensor and wide angle lens to offer virtual crop focal lengths, easily selectable with a physical dial? I would love to have access to a bunch of primes without the size of an actual zoom lens.

i know the GR series can have a custom button set to do exactly what you ask. I assume other cameras might but probably less likely on proper ILCs.

Beyond the GR series commenter above said:
Leica's Q series does this too. I don't know about their X series cameras.
Some of Panasonic's newer cameras do crop zoom / hybrid zoom.
The Sigma FP L does in-body crop zooming, too.

gfx 100rf has it
seems pretty dumb when you can just crop it in post

i can sort of understand the framing in the moment aspect, since it does show the simulated FOV of the crop. different from re-visualizing it at the computer. significant feature though? eh.

I could see the utility of having a preview of the crop in the EVF but I'd want the RAWs to be full size so I could uncrop if I change my mind. I haven't seen anywhere whether that is how it works or if it crops the RAWs. Also since it's just a crop they could have a menu to set whatever focal length/aspect ratio you want, but instead you have to pick from the 4 options they chose.

so, you're saying you want a digital zoom camera?

I think most full frames have a crop mode but that's probably not what you meant
