it just works? i have r62, 5d3 and r10, and Ithey are all amazing, the autofocus on the newer cameras is incredble, don't like canon cripple hammer,but whatever

Yeah and it's Canons biggest roadblock IMO. It's the opposite of wht the EF mount was. Canon EF with Sigma Art lenses was the god tier combo back then. Or slap some cine lenses on it. Or expensive Zeiss or some cheap Tamron. You could choose from everything. Now everyone just uses the 24-70 f/2.8 like everybody else and it's fucking boring.

Don't hate on me it's a joke, the lens fucking sucks and I don't blame anyone for avoiding it.
Yeah I kind of hate the idea of spending $1200 and it not even being L-tier. Like, it's not a bad lens but no dedicated control ring, no sealing, you gotta push it into shooting position... egh.
EF L lenses are cheap as fuck these days.

i'm surprised that they decided to make this the short zoom the normie lens and tthe 24-105 the L lens. you'd think theyd want to milk more people and i would imagine more people buy the classic "2X-7X" trinity lens.
