use more negative space
>>4446604
pull focus on something interesting >>4446605
go slower on your aperture for more depth of field
use more negative space
>>4446606
this is kino
your autofocus fucked you over
try ‘select AF point’ mode to dodge gay shit in the foreground
or manual if you know your subject will be in the same spot for a while
or try turning off ‘AF on half-shutter press’ and mapping AF to another button so you can get it set right and take the shot separately
>>4446608
this is pretty good
could try chroma noise reduction
or desaturate to get rid of some of the steeper colour transitions in the background
or it might be a very bad case of chromatic aberration
I was going to suggest sharper glass as well, this seems very soft
you could try wavelets, sharpening, local contrast etc to bring some more definition but it can get ugly quick

final advice:
STAY ALERT
DO YOUR WORK
DON’T WORRY ABOUT THE WORLD GOING BY
GET YOUR BUTT IN GEAR and DO IT
and DON’T TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER

I don't think this really needs more negative space. It's just a different aesthetic
>>4446604
No real subject
>>4446605
out of focus
>>4446606
cool
>>4446608
Softness doesn't really work for this one. It would also read better if it was cropped closer

thanks for all the great advice! the focus being off is probably a result of the shitty 50$ k mount lens im adapting to my Canon 7D

nothing bad. well exposed, in focus, composed fairly. i could nitpick and say you could do more photoshop work to remove the bit at the top of the pole and that ?dust? to the left of the frame. i could see this being a movie poster for some ameature film where the girl's teddy makes a journey back home after being left at the park
>>4446604
650 & 706 are right, no subject. pointless photo
>>4446605
did you miss focus? it just seems blurry. the nose bridge seems more infocus than the eye. Even if it was in focus, it would just be a boring dog photo. not my style
>>4446606
this one is a nice capture. great mood, action, good light, solid. I wonder what it would look like if you took the shot from a head higher/lower? My only real critique is the guys cap covers alot and is distracting
>>4446608
not a fan. the bird isnt doing enough to stand out. its a distracting background that doesnt compliment the subject well. The bald spots offer a lot to pull your eyes away. or wondering if the branches on the bottom are really long or if there's water making a reflection(is it water? its not right?). If you took the shot like 0.1 seconds later with the bird covering the bald spot on the right i think would be nicer. Add a bit of a crop to it, now we're talking. much better imo.
and yeah just a smidge of sharpness would be nice too
