It's shocking and upsetting at first when you realize you're actually in jail but after a few days you fall into a grind and a routine and you get used to it. boredom becomes the worst part. i just drew and wrote songs non stop to keep myself busy. played cards. i was treated pretty good. it was during COVID and they had us all by ourselves for the most part so i didnt even have to deal with another cellmate. food was shit but i never starved. i was a tweaker at the time and i 100% NEEDED jail. it was the only thing that helped me clean up.

desu the worst part was probably other bitches hygiene. when you put a bunch of cunts in jail they really stop giving a shit about themselves and half the other broads in there would go weeks without showering. anytime i was out in the quad it fucking smelled. i was in a rural ass jail too so it was like 90% white tweakers like me so there wasnt much racial bickering. of course the one chick i remember actually freaking out and causing a scene was black she came in high on spice or some shit and decided to fight with the CO's non stop and be non cooperative she ended up literally climbing up on the lunch table and shitting bloody diarrhea everywhere while twerking and screaming about some stupid shit.

after my case went to trial they credited my time served and i did a summer of weekends which wasn't awful but it was actually hard work.

overall, im glad im sober now, wont go back to jail anytime soon... it wasnt the best place but it was exactly what younger me needed. im almost 26 now and been sober 4 years, got my GED, got a job, got married, have 2 healthy kids. So i guess i turned out okay.

Yes, and I wish they'd be as hard nosed now. Having seen how convicts are it became clear that they will violate any boundary they can and will use violence in order to defend their wicked behavior. As for me I was on a fast track to self-destruction when I went in, but the lifestyle was so miserable it turned me into a model probationer. I met the terms of my plea agreement determined to never be in that situation again. The experience colored every opinion I have about covic responsibility. The bare minimum of is simply not violating the public trust by breaking the law. Most people in there broke fundamental laws that no society should put up with and they do it habitually. I hate that California doesn't think this kind of punishment works just because there are so many repeat offenders. But, those have conditioned themselves to it and get their moral compass from other criminals. For many there is no fixing them, many more will swear it off but still have some habits, as they don't understand their responsibility for having made so many excuses for themselves.

I was recording a fight between a security guard from across the street, then I got hit by a security guard, then he dragged me onto the property in the back, called the cops on me. I got falsely accused, got arrested because the cop called me a liar and I said he was profiling me and I wouldn't speak without an attorney, and that I want to speak to his supervisor/sergeant and submit a complaint to the police ethics office.
I was jailed for refusing to ID eventhough there were no grounds for detainment, no one said I was detained.
They put me in a holding cell until a friend came to pick me up. Fuck police, security guards, fuck niggers and FUCK JEWS.
All I have to say is don't go out alone, don't go anywhere without friends or a legal witness. The last thing my friend said to the cops was "he's a lab researcher at our university, he wouldn't do any of the stupid shit you said"

Yeah. I was adjudicated a juvenile delinquent at the age of 11 and thus spent a lot of time in the fostercare and juvenile justice systems. My personal experience was not that bad as I was never maltreated but the couple of occasions I spent a night or two in jail were pretty depressing. It's like being stuffed in a garbage can and forgotten. They actually forgot to feed me a few times and once accidentally kept me an extra day.

As an adult I spent a night in the can on suspicion of DUI. Other than that I've not had much involvement with police.

They were stuck on stupid and follow the convict code, which is a complicated set of rules an inmate is expected to follow by the other inmates. Snitching is the ultimate crime and convicts handle all their issues based on this code. As a result of this, a man gets knocked out for stealing another man's can of Coca-Cola. The assailant doesn't even care about the punishment for this. Other options would include that persons "car". (It was racially segregated by the inmates, at count time an inmate stands by his assigned bed, but it isn't where he sleeps or keeps his things) can "tax" him. So, your people beat on you for a set amount of time in an area of the dorm without cameras. The taxed inmate would then be expected to lie about the beating, he might be rolled to another cell-block if the deputy decides he's at risk of abuse where he is. Also, because of the racecar system if you find yourself in a car that's well outnumbered another car might decide to fuck up your car just because they can. I avoided this by getting transferred during my sentence to a trustee dorm. So, pure luck. I heard about how all the woods in my previous dorm got fucked up by the southsiders less than a week later. The inmates are always conspiring against each other, anyways, and not responding makes a person a bitch. The trustee dorm had a few benefits, and less drama. (Everyone gets out of the cell a few times a week to work) But, there was still some bullshit. At the end of the day most of the assholes were uncorrectable. Their hatred of law enforcement sure as shit didn't influence them to not have to interact with them by just not breaking the law everyday.

I was arrested once when a cop ran into me from behind. He had to make up some story so he said he had his sirens on and I changed lanes illegally.
I was moving from the fast lane into the cruising lane, and he was passing me on the right like an idiot.
I guess to spare himself embarrassment he arrested me and put me in jail for a few hours until I got bailed out. I was on my lunch break, so I called work to tell them I'd be out the rest of the day. I was too embarrassed to say I'd been arrested.
But later on I found out that my call was preceded with a "this call is being placed from Cook County suspect holding facility" or some such thing. So I got fired, lol.
Wasn't even my fault. And the cop did me a solid by not showing up to the hearing, so I plead not guilty on all counts, and the judge said I'd just have to pay $100, which was my bail money, so I walked out scot free.

About 10% were real pieces of shit who deserved lockup. The rest made a bad decision or two and got caught up in the system. 2 mexicans were arguing about DBZ for weeks before I got there and they were happy someone came in who know something about it to answer their argument, but I didn't know the answer. On the way in I was in a holding cell with 15 or so other guys and on the other side of the hall was a cell with 3-4 girls, they kept flashing us their tits so guys started flashing their dicks at them.

I worked at one and around 75% of the inmates are pieces of shit with zero redeeming qualities. They game the system while inside and play on liberal heart strings while being hardered, violent criminals. This group has mental disorder but nothing normal members of society don't also have and deal with. They will get out eventually and reoffend immediately. 20% of the population is legitimately insane and should probably be in a medical center specialized for that, that will actually help them. The remaining 5% owned their fuck up, did the programming and worked on themselves. Those will go out and attempt to be productive members. I was in college at the time and it really didn't impact me, the judge even let me do the time during the summer.

I was driving through Utah and got pulled over pretty much just because I had California plates. They instantly put us on the curb and searched my car. I was allowed to bring a book inside that I had to leave and for some reason I decided to bring Don Quixote, I'd been wanting to read it but never had the time and figured I'd have time to read it in there, which I did.
There was a few times though where I was in holding with 10 or so other guys and there is nothing for anyone to do, but I had my book so they asked me to read to them. That book is a difficult read, basically in old english and I'm bad at public speaking.
Most people checked out a few words in but a couple listened as I did my best to read the section where Don Quixote comes across a group of prisoners being transported and misunderstands the situation which leads to him freeing the men, a section I thought was appropriate for the situation.
I left the book there, the jail had a small library of donated books people brought in.

I got in some trouble shortly after getting out of highschool and ended up going to the clink for 18 months. In my home State everyone goes to a Max security Prison at first until your actual security level is established and you get transferred to another joint. I did time in a Max and a Min/Medium security prison. It's just boring. Some fights occasionally break out but I laugh at all the Convict YouTubers making it sound like there's some guy waiting around every corner to rape and stab you and that you must join a gang or you're cooked. I read a lot of books, went to the weight room and worked a kitchen job. I'm 5'5" and only weighed like 150 pounds at the time. I probably should have been targeted if anything that's true ever happened. I had no problems.
