Japan would be better off alone. Even the leader of the Racial Policy Office in Nazi Germany said that mixing with asians wouldn't be any different than a negro tribe from Africa. I don't know where you quoted this from or who made this image, but literally everything I've read about Europeans interacting with Japan early on was one of two things:
1) People arguing with Jesuits
2) They're very small
The average person was described as 'yellowish' but the Ainu from the north despite being considered less civil were described as 'white'. The term 'white' was almost entirely in reference to skin color, the Japanese were classified as 'Indios' like native Americans. Even to this day genetic tests come up as 'East Asian and Native American' if a mixed Japanese person is white, then so is a hispanic by that same logic.
