Basically the plane suddenly lost all of its power during takeoff and started to fall like a stone

Either a monumental fuckup from the pilot, or the boeings should be banned from aviation

They're a thing on Boeing jets, they deploy automatically once the there is a problem with the engines or electricity on the plane, it's function is to provide power to the controls while the plane is still flying. It looks like an electrical fault has killed the engines and the planes just fell out of the sky, completely Boeing's fault, 100 percent.

This is the country that intentionally poisons food to make an extra buck, after all. I can almost guarantee this plane should have been pulled from service for maintenance and the airline just didnโ€™t bother because they didnโ€™t want to.

I don't think the flaps were ever down. The jeets weren't understanding why they weren't getting lift and then just yanked back on the stick anyway at the end of the runway. I think they just panicked because they had no idea why the aircraft wasn't performing. I believe the Indian airlines also have the highest percentage of female pilots. This should get even more fun as time goes on.

There is 3 airlines you never fly
Air India is one because of terrorism history and zero quality standards.
Korean Air or any Korean carrier never ever fly them their pilots once rammed the hangar here cutting off the wings and on 911 they literally turned on their hijack bacon when radio asked if they were hijacked because no engrish.
Malaysian airlines they literally flew over a warzone in Donbas and their plots suicided terroristz twice now

Klm is good, Lufthansa, Cathay Pacific has British pilots

That's the jeets using every inch of the runway because they weren't getting lift. They yanked on the stick and got the nose up, but that caused a lot of airspeed to bleed off. Without flaps, they couldn't recover and put her in the ground.

When you wait on airfield and engines don't run because of saving fuel, APU generates electric power and air for AC.
Funny thing 787 were grounded once for several months because their new Li-Ion batteries overheated and burnt. If the reason was a battery fire, Boeing is completely fucked after they have pay over a billion USD compensation to customer who ordered the new 737

The plane didn't lose power, it lost lift due to trying to take off without flaps. The pilots probably didn't realise and assumed it was an engine problem when their airspeed dropped like a stone when trying to gain altitude.

Seeing the two videos and unless other info comes to light .
My Theory is .

>>Pajeet pilots using the Auto Take off system to take off -- it handles the throttles etc all you have to do is pull up the nose at the right speed.
>>Momentary electrical loss on the take off roll or seconds in, it trips off the flight computer and engines return to idle ( the Rat video you can hear the engines and the rat -- if they were at take off power if would drown out he rat ) .
>>Poor training / lazy jeet pilots what ever the cause , they are NOT hands on throttle watching the instruments. Ready to take over, so they don't notice when the engines return to idle and there is no thrust --
>>On the airport video you can see the plane drift side ways ( side slip ) from the centrifugal force of the rotating mass of the turbines .So they were still turning just not giving thrust .

TLDR; a momentary trip of the electrical system cleared the flight computer of the Auto Take off commands -- engine returned to idle -- Pilots not monitoring the Take off and are slow witted -- baffled why the plane is slowing and drops out of the sky

there is a 2nd video but 2 versions. 1st version the press rushed out and shows the plane going down and exploding however it's a video from a cell phone recording a video on a monitor. you can see reflection of the person recording it (barely)

the other version of that video is the original and has far better audio. in the audio you don't hear jet engines. you hear a prop plane engine. this is the emergency generator that can be deployed by the pilots near the right rear landing gear. this propeller is forced to spin to provide emergency power for when the engines go out. someone should dig that video up. i saw a youtube video that showed it but can't find the link.

You are insinuating the lack of flaps made it stall, when it's just not the case.

I read that it has been hypothesised that the pilots instead of pulling the lever for landing gear they pulled the lever for the flaps and thatโ€™s why it stalled. Could that be a possibility?

>but your speed drops as you climb

that's not how it works, that's my point. Your airspeed will INCREASE once you get airborne, if you maintain the same power.

The thrust to weight on these things is way more impressive than you realise.

Do you realise that to gain altitude requires energy input and that an airliner is not a fighter jet with a thrust to weight ratio over 1?

not really, in my opinion. If they retracted the flaps it wouldn't just stall. The angle wasn't very steep, like, it wasn't anywhere near the max angle this is capable of even without flaps.

I almost guarantee it was an electrical problem that cut power to the engines due to poor maintenance

The only time any 787 has crashed so far in its history is this incident with indians flying it

So that is why I am inclined to believe this isn't a problem with the 787 design at all, just a skill issue, cause indians either pilot error or they were cheapasses and didn't do maintenance properly

Jesus, its obviously not the pilots fault if both the engines suddenly died causing the ram air turbine to pop out as seen (and heard) in other video. Its a maintenance issue, or a fuel issue or something like that.

>>507186252
Flaps wouldn't have made a damn bit of difference with no engine power. How on earth you think you can tell the Dreamliners flaps are up from the videos we have is beyond me. Aside from that, even with the flaps fully retracted and the plane fully laden, a Dreamliner still has plenty of power, even on takeoff, to maintain altitude and climb.
A pilot with over 8000 hours isnt going to "accidentally" retract the flaps instead of the landing gear you absolute moron.

I was watching YouTube videos of passenger aircraft in india a while ago for a research project and the funny thing I noticed was that on domestic flights the pilots were often indian, but, on international flights the pilots were ALWAYS English or American. These international airlines know that they are incompetent and they aren't willing to risk it when human (non-indian) lives are involved.

The fact they had a sole survivor with unsinged clothes and perfectly undamaged boarding pass, able to walk after crashing at 100 miles an hour and being burned in a 100m fireball gives credence to your suggestion.
Jet fuel can melt steel beams but can't burn passports or boarding passes. Or so we are supposed to believe.

This company is a total disgrace and should go bankrupt if you have any stocks in Boeing then you knowingly support a company that cuts corners and when called out MURDERS it's life long employees which the company is nothing without.

Boeing got absolutely fucked in the MD merger from the 90s.

You may remember infamous McDonnell Douglas products such as the MD-80 or DC-10 which were absolute deathtraps. By the mid 90's MD were failing miserably with multiple crashes, but since they still hold plenty defense contracts (F/A-18 etc) the US government deicded they weren't allowed to go under, and forced the merger with Boeing. But for whatever reason all the MD suits took over in the new company and it then went to shits today the same way MD went to shits. In fact if you speak with a lot of original Boeing employees they are all super bitter about the merger, and complain MD basically took over Boeing with Boeing's own money.
