You run the the same games as windows with a compatibility layer like proton or wine. This is done automatically. In my experience games actually run faster and have less stutters. The only games you can't play reliably are ones with kernel-level anticheat

Libreoffice is compatible with docx and is generally perfectly fine, I write all my documents with it

I don't play games on my computer. I did another playthrough of GTA V when I first got this laptop but nothing since then. The switch from Windows to Linux only happened when I bought this. I don't know why you would want spyware bullshit running on your computer regardless of what you are doing. That's not why I chose Linux but for me it's nice that I never need to worry about it. My experiences with Windows 11 so far have been overwhelmingly negative. There are plenty of posts about how it's shitty jeetware with an electron start menu in this thread. I could stick with Windows 10 LTSC until 2032 but that's just delaying the inevitable. Why should I stay in an abusive relationship with a software vendor forced to pirate something they won't even sell me to be comfortable sticking with their ecosystem? Especially when something better that I don't need to pirate is free. I don't expect normies to move to Linux en masse but if you are even slightly interested in technology now is the time.
