The real issue is that drone military is not only in it's infancy, but anti-drone has been war gamed for decades by the likes of the US and possibly China. Iran may have relied too much on the "axis of resistence" and hasn't invested enough in proper air defenses of its territory. Iran's biggest trump card has been that if Israel attacks Hezbollah+Hamas+Assad will start a lot of trouble. Now all 3 of those are gone and Iran is exposed.

You've got to be kidding if you think that's how it works. Are you envisioning stealthy WW2 B29's with some bombardier looking down at the ground through a scope with a cross hair in it?

It's not just aircraft stealth that makes them so effective. The United States has developed over the horizon missile technology. Meaning missiles can be fired from say an F-35 that's well out of range for their radar but so long as a radar somewhere has a lock that missile is going to hit.

So you know those huge planes with the merry go round spinning on the top? They can chill hundreds of miles from a target and still pick up SAM sites. F-35's role up not close, fire missiles and wipe out all of the anti-air capabilities, then it's a free for all and planes can get as close as they want. That's the real stealth capabilities. You don't even enter the enemy airspace until you have complete air superiority.
