The have 24/7 hovering drones rotated out on shifts always flying above many major cities, with technology developed for countering the Iraq insurgency that tracks most people and vehicles in the picture spanning multiple city blocks for years.
Now ai is integrating license plate scanners and facial recognition.
Eventualy this combined with street and traffic cameras. Will watch most public spaces. Once it gets effective enough government will become pettier in what they enforce as they fear the population less and can control more effectively.
But your car, phone, computer, smart tv/fridge/washer/ and most electronics with wireless will also be watching you with ai indoors.
Of course they still won't be able to do anything about your replacement by immigrants, but will fine you into homelessness if you don't be a good slave.
>>507285540Quadcopter drones are stupid dangerous. If a single motor goes out it turns into a spiraling rock dropping from the sky.
This is unlike planes that could at least try to glide somewhere.
A lot more orheavier ones in the sky will mean a lot more property damage and serious injuries. It shouldn't be considered okay to hover things above people that will eventualy fall and hurt them. Or fly above them relying on some anonymous operator not to maim someone.
Start putting a lot in the air and accidents will get common.
The big corporations will probably stop using big ones for packages and petty stuff when the resulting lawsuits from property damage cost more than they ever saved by using them.
