It wasn't united, and even if it had been the US was far more industrialized than Europe at the time and was funding and supplying the Soviet war effort.

Tons of countries sent few or no troops to fight the Soviets including Spain and France but also smaller countries like Greece and Serbia who had to be actively occupied and kept down since they weren't remotely friendly to the axis.
