Chivalry is an incredibly dumb and counterintuitive set of practices for men. Chivalry is what keeps men complacent and subject to female bullshit. Chivalry is abused by crypto-feminists on the Right and twisted by them as an excuse to basically emasculate and boss men around under the guise of "traditional values". The legacy of chivalry and its emphasis of putting women on a pedestal and saying that men need to respect them all the time is why so many male feminists shit on their own sex for a crumb of pussy and are always looking to empower and excuse women.

Women might be emotionally volatile and spoiled, but they have enough agency and understanding to be perfectly aware that they're in a position to abuse their status as women in a gynocentric society and to take pleasure in lording their privileges over men. They're not merely "little children" and we do them no favors to treat them as such. Treating them that way and promulgating the idea that they never know any better just trains them to believe that they can get away with the same shit they're getting flak for today because they'll never be held responsible for it. It would literally just recreate the same conditions for present feminism. If you bring up your kids that way, your daughters will still be vile and malevolent wenches, and your sons will be bitches with no self-respect before women.

If you actually cared about women as you claimed, you'd hold them accountable and teach them to do differently. It would be so easy to do if we didn't have so many people who are chronically pussy-whipped.

You should also point out chivalry was practiced by Knights (by definition noble) towards noble ladies. It never had anything to do with commoners.
It most likely became a meme among commoners because people were reading too many romance novels in the 1800s onwards.
