...has something actually happened, or hasn't it? Are we missing something important which has actually occurred; if only by its non-occurrence? perhaps, a "non-happening" has occurred? If so, should we ignore "it," as if it did not happen, or pay attention to the non-happening which has indeed happened? I suspect, the non-occurrence of an expected "happening" still may have meaning. My suspicion grows all the more with every occurrence of nothing ever happening? Are we missing an invisible hand at work; or non-work, as it were? Anybody else feel like this?

If a person says nothing ever happens, it's wrong. Things happen all the time. There is cause and effect and the flow of time and things happen. Even below your level of perception there are things happening. Radioactive decay. Bacteria. The universe is constantly in motion. All atoms vibrate. The planet is a rock hurtling through space at insane speeds. At any moment we could be obliterated by the sun or an asteroid.

Maybe mentally ill people prefer the delusion that nothing ever happens because they cannot handle the intensity of the volume of happenings we face constantly.

Happening is like an object which is always at motion. It can never be at rest. If it is at rest then the happening itself ceases to exist or nothing is happening or you can say the happening was nothing. It requires a streamlined flow in one direction of the time space continuum.

Something occasionally happens, but the breadth of that happening is very limited, the iranian strikes on tel aviv and the la "riots" are good example, both extremely disappointing happenings that can barely be described as such, the last major happening was the first 24 hours of the russian invasion into ukraine and that was over 3 years ago now, that too devolved into a disappointing happening in the end, we are continuously blue balled by the administrators of the programme, our digital cage is baby proofed and intentionally dull, until a cataclysmic happening occurs that changes everything, my discontent will continue and life will continue to be gay and fake
