Two Minnesota legislators were shot at their homes by a "white" man dressed as a cop. The victims were Minnesota state senator John Hoffman and Minnesota state representative Melissa Hortman. I can't find any information about whether they died, or any motive, but why should that stop us from baselessly speculating?

In looking into recent legislative actions taken by the Minnesota State government, one thing in particular stands out. Just a few days ago, on June 9th, the state legislation passed a bill ending state healthcare for illegal aliens. It was voted strictly along party lines with one critical exception: Melissa Hortman. She was the only Democrat to vote for the bill and was the sole reason that it passed. To an illegal Hispanic, identified as white in the media like usual, who was dependent on free healthcare for himself or someone he cares about, this would be seen as a monumental betrayal. It's likely that this may have been a motive to murder her on revenge.

But what about Hoffman? He hasn't done, said, or voted on anything related to illegal immigration that I could find, so why was he caught up in this mess? I suspect for absolutely no reason that Hortman and Hoffman were having an affair. An illegal alien who was familiar with Hortman's affair decided to kill them both to revenge Hortman's betrayal in the legislature. Maybe Hortman spent time with this illegal alien as a political stunt, and that's why he knew about their affair.

I already solved the case completely, but if you feel like there's more to discuss, I won't stop you.

This summary is not really accurate. Hortman was the only Democrat in the MN State house that voted for this bill. Without her vote this bill would not have passed. As such her vote was absolutely critical and was of huge significance. Once it advanced to the MN State Senate, four Democratic state senators joined Republicans to pass the bill, but Hoffman was not one of them. He abstained, but this wasn't consequential as the bill was guaranteed to pass the Senate if it passed the house, and again, Hortman was singularly responsible for that.

Here's a press release from the MN police serving as the primary source for the presence of a manifesto in the suspect's fake police car which listed many politicians. Hoffman and Hortman lived only a few miles apart which is why these two were shot at the same time, but the suspect was going to shoot more. The suspect started with Hoffman and then went to Hortman where police encountered him and he fled out the back door.
