The Democrat base (not the far-leftist/Antifa crowd, those are literal commies and anarchists) is unironically just older and single women, gays, and blacks. That's the entirety of their political coalition. People 70+ are the only combined demographic (meaning men and women together) that doesn't fall on the Republican side of polling. No, procedural due process in enshrined in US legal doctrine. At minimum, a person is due only notice, an opportunity to be heard, and a decision by a neutral decisionmaker.
