Hello Comrades. This general is for the discussion of Marxism-Leninism, the ideology of revolutionary socialism and communism.

Communism is the next stage of humanity following the capitalist stage.

What exactly is communism according to Marxist-Leninists:

When the capitalist class has been completely vanquished, there will be only one class, the working class, and eventually the functions of the state will become indistinguishable from the functions of the society as a whole, and the state as such will 'wither away' as Marx said.

PS such a person would tell you that communism is a pro-worker philosophy of class war against the wealthy. There aren't any specific policies associated with communism (BTW that's literally in the Communist Manifesto, explicitly, so its funny when people strawman in this way). We tie not only basic survival into our corporate slavery, but necessities that the supposedly richest country in the world should have no problem handling. Housing, food needs, health care, education. We take those who seek higher education, for the betterment of theirselves and their communities, and we shove them into the pit of debt to the tune of hundreds of thousands of dollars with only a piece of paper to show for it. We inundate then with tired ideas such as social justice, so they are too busy fighting a culture war to fight the economic one.

We charge a months wages for a months rent and wonder why people are ready to burn whole cities to the ground. We are fed the lie that our money is inflating while corporations simultaneously raise the prices of everything from groceries to gasoline, all in the name of unsustainable record profits for every quarter going forward. They do not want you to be able to afford to express your beliefs. They want you to be under the threat of homelessness and starvation by going into the streets against them.

WW2 was a war fought primarily in the European theatre, and the European theatre was itself fought primarily between Germans and Soviets. The Soviets were responsible for approx. 85% of the German scalps taken during the war. It's no surprise that the rest of the so-called "Allies" would see this and absolutely shit themselves. And it's certainly no surprise that they would pursue a Cold War against the USSR immediately following WW2 when the Soviets were at their weakest.
