Millennials are the last somewhat “cool” generation. To this day, I look forward to grabbing some drinks and socializing with friends.
The Zoomer existence is truly tragic and the only thing that will bring change is a catastrophic event that forces them to actually crave fellow human connection, followed by social activities such as drinking/dining.
This isn’t unique to The West. I vaguely remember a movement within the Japanese government to promote drinking/socializing/hooking-up amongst younger adults in order to fix the birth rate issue. I have no doubt it’s failed.
A part of me feels for the youth, yet another side of me understands that only the strongest of us survive. In a timeline where human interaction is a sign of strength & confidence, the right people will naturally come out on top. Ultimately, the lack of human interaction today could be nature fixing itself.

I cut out caffeine a couple months ago and overall I sleep slightly better and feel more mentally squared away during the day. The best part is, when I actually want caffeine now to give me a little boost, it actually works in that regard. Just have to avoid dependency.

Alcohol has been a part of white societies since forever and has many benefits in terms of socializing, camaraderie, dating, sex, fun, the list goes on... But as an older millennial, I can hardly blame younger Americans for abstaining or at least being skeptical of the current party scene. Everyone has a camera in their pocket at all times these days and letting yourself go can have serious consequences and drawbacks. On top of that, the bar scene is not what it used to be. Cheaper party bars aimed at young people used to be prevalent, but sometime in the last 15 years, tons of those places decided to go for an "elevated" corporatized bar vibe where the cheapest drink is outrageous.

I drank for 20 years. Sometimes more, sometimes less, sometimes not at all, but most of the time I did drink. I stopped drinking for good when I felt that the alcohol was worsening my symptoms of dementia.
