The regime feeds on Israelis aggression and vice versa. Iranian opposition is largely neutral on the question of Israel but when they're firing rockets at their country(and they fired first) they literally have to be traitors to not line up behind the regime. Likewise Bibi would be long since replaced by a centre-left politician running broadly leftist coalition but any time arabs chimp out or iranians say death to all jews the public lines up behind him as they see leftists as poor wartime leaders.

its different because Iran has different factions and current government was basically installed by US so there are groups who dont like it, in Russia, Putin came to power by himself and either integrated powerful people into his government or got rid of them. While not certain, I believe coup in Iran is possible, they just recently did one in Syria.

The actual power doesn't lie with the Iranian president but with the ayatollah and in that case we're talking about a guy who is criticised because it was seen as he jumped in front of people with seniority over him thanks to Russian backing. The Iranian president that died in helicopter accident recently was posed as a possible alternative successor to ayatollah's chosen(iirc his son), which is something nobody covering the topic has noted.
