my favorite playthrough of oblivion (not the remake, the original) was with a female npc-like rouge character.
i maxed her sneaking, lock picking, archery, alchemy, and athletic skills and never once leveled up her health or strength or any of the other combat skills. i also never equipped armor and only had her wear regular clothes and skirts and shoes which means even a wild animal was able to kill my character with just a few blows, any real enemy only had to hit my character once. the gameplay essentially boiled down to a Thief (as in the game series) style sneaking game and the only way i was able to finish the game was by making max poison arrows and doing hit and runs from as far away as possible. every single enemy encounter became a thing and the best strategy was often to just sneak around them. i was killed constantly especially later in the game but the challenge made it so much more satisfying. i recommend this for anybody who likes sneaking games.
anyways, yes, playing a woman (or any other) character is totally fine if you don't have a messed up braint that can't differentiate between the real you and the fictional character.

It's good but there are some problems with the gameplay loop and some regions are just straight up grind factory. Game turns into winch simulator pretty quickly and it's supposed to be a sim type game but little about it makes any sense and the physics are all fucked up.

Idk it's great with a few buddies but after a couple hundred hours you start noticing. It presents like it's a simulator but there's so many problems - one of which being inertia, you can blast a fully loaded logging truck full send into a small mudpit and it will instantly lose momentum and you'd get stuck in it forcing you to winch for 10 mins, it has a lot of really dumb gotchas and random hidden single mudpits.

It's by far the best offroading game but if you're looking for a simulator experience this game is not it though it can teach you how to drive a Semi in the most dumbfuck retarded places possible lol

I don't do different races like dwarves, elves, goblins, i don't really even look to make the character look LIKE ME, i want to make just a normal character like any other game and play the thing. Understandable. I play females in games because I like the idea of being a very high skilled female player. I don't larp as a woman but people tend to be much friendlier and cooperative if the female is killing everything. Everybody wants to be your friend when you're a pretty girl, they will let you have the good weapons and prioritize you if you're downed. I will hard carry the team as a female character as a tip of the hat to female players who don't usually have an opportunity to see the top scoreboards.

One really interesting that happens is if you're a very high skilled player, and you random Que the SBMM will put girls on your team, and if you're nice to them in voice and chat, SBMM picks up on that and starts spamming you with female teammates because you keep carrying them and the game is trying to maximize playtime so it gives you ez matches but expects you to hardcarry for the win. If I stop trying, we will lose hardcore but if I try it's easy and we win. I get Overwatch 2 matches and Firefight ques with multiple girls in VC all the time, I am positive it's the SBMM algorithm doing it - just the other day I qued a firefight with three girls in it lool. One of them was really mean and kept trying to TK but she was bad at it loool
