No, it's not the capital that has the most whites. It's the interior, rural cities. Curitiba, as the capital, is more cosmopolitan in nature. Yes, there are a lot of germans and polish there, but also a lot of mutts and japanese. For example, my gf's city of Prudentópolis/Пpyдeнтoпoлic is an ukrainian founded city, very rural, very catholic and very ukrainian (though there are some other european admixture there like italians, latvians and other ex-Austro-Hungarian descendants). But I get your point, fair enough.
