Some Americans, particularly the rural ones losing their health care and government services, are extremely disappointed that Trump isn't doing anything to bring down the price of groceries, medical costs, insurance, et like he promised. Instead, our 401ks are plummeting, people are losing their jobs, tariffs are killing our farms, families are being separated and after crippling vital federal agencies, Musk ended up costing us more money than Doge "saved".

I'd wager most boomers support him. He's keeping the entitlements going, maintaining their property values and keeping the stock market solvent, which is what matters for them.

The blowup over DOGE was precisely that Elon knows we have to cut entitlements to survive in the long term and Trump just won't do it, because he's a boomer and boomers protect boomers.
