One day it will just become a matter of such pressing national security that we will issue an executive order and start building army bases around Canada. Canadians will put up little resistance as access to the American market will be almost immediate. Over time Canada will become a de facto if not de jure U.S. state along with Greenland where we already have military bases and are the de facto governors.

Sounds crazy cause I doubt it'll be that way but democratic and beaucratic expansion.
