Europe was able to get away with gun laws because they were almost 100% white, in a white society you can feel safe enough to walk down the street and reasonably expect not to have to to shoot someone. That's a folding choate stock, different from the AC556 being a tube design, the ruger ones fold twice. Choate sells them now for SKSs though with a polymer handguard and body such that the wood was custom built to replace it.
