I want to share with you guys some interesting things I heard bc of my job:

1) A few days before the current operation by Israel, Iran hacked into an undisclosed datacenter in Israel and stole 3 Tb of Kompromat Israel had on western leaders.

Not many details have come out but expect anything from pedophilia, cropofagia to cannibalism.

2) Most people don't understand how hypersonic missiles work. Thaad or the dome can do practically nothing against these missiles.

Iran has mostly been using their older stuff with warheads raging from 300kg to 500kg but they have very heavy missiles with 1T warheads in the tens of thousands.

Their next step will more than likely involve moving drones through Iraq and do a saturation attack against Israeli AD and especially Israeli pilots who have been flying sorties non stop for 50 hours already and both man and machine will eventually reach their limit. That's when the US will intervene because if they don't, and Iran actually manages to open a aerial corridor (Ukraine did the same when attacking Moscow last month) the IDF will be hit VERY hard.

Here's a schematic on how the missiles work.

The hypersonic glider not only goes faster and can be manouvered mid flight it also benefits from the fact that when you go that fast a sheet of plasma forms around the body of the missile bouncing off a lot of the radar waves further complicating the detection of the missile.

To put it simply, only very low resolution radars in the VHF band can "pierce" that ionized air layer and then multiband radars need to be used to triangulate the missile in real time all that in but a few seconds presuming operator and machine are in tip top shape. I can't stress enough how hard they are to intercept. Ukrainian claims that they are able to down 500 trillion kinzhals are hilarious.

I was running a few models yesterday trying to see how much longer the IDF can sustain their tempo and these are the numbers I came up with. Bear in minde these are 100% speculation.

Israel has around 340 fighter aircraft, average readiness for modern airforces is between 60-80%.

They have around 3000 pilots, considering that not all of those are trained or fit to fly it's safe to assume they have between 60 to 70% of that number.

That makes out to around 750–1,000 sorties daily with pilot rotations. At 200–400 sorties per day (as in recent Iran strikes), the pilot pool can theoretically sustain operations for 7–14 days before fatigue becomes critical, assuming no losses and effective rest cycles.

Long range missions increase strain and the need for engine and parts maintenance will become critical after 4 days or so.

So assuming parts, fuel and ammo are covered, Israel can sustain the current tempo of operations for 2 to 3 more days. Things have to fizzle out by then or the US has to intervene. I don't see a 3rd option.
