Just look at history—Mexico was the first to break free from the Spanish Empire, and that inspired the rest. Sure, others fought too, but without Mexico setting it off, most of Latin America would’ve stayed colonized, still sending pesos back to the Spanish king.
There are many examples of how we’ve always fought. Do you hear the same about the rest? Peru was conquered by 300 conquistadors with barely any native resistance. Argentina? They’re ashamed of being native to Argentina. The Caribbean? Mostly half-Black prostitute islands. Colombia? They’re alright—I hear they copy a lot from Mexico, like ranchero culture and cowboy music.
Let’s be real: nearly all Latin Americans end up in Mexico as immigrants. Sure, many are just passing through to get to the U.S., but some end up staying for generations when they can’t leave.
