Peaceful protests are perhaps the least effective form of protest… because it’s… nothing? Most you might achieve is shut down a bunch of traffic and raise awareness. Take a look at the peaceful Iraq war protests to see how effective they are.

The most successful form of non-violent protest is the strike, as that anon said. A peaceful protest gives you the illusion of doing something, when in fact you’ve done nothing.

I've legitimately never heard a more untrue thing ever spoken. Even in my own mind, and i'm insane.

It'd be nice if they defined "held power". Trump has been elected to serve 4 years, with a majority in the house and the senate for at least 2, and this protest changes none of that. Do they think that Trump will suddenly stop the ICE raids or not get bills passed? So far, the protest seems like it was one big coping session.

I swear, the push by the leftists to make the protest seem like a bigger deal then it is, has been pathetic.
