>>507608087>still complaining about Bushthis is how we know you are a boomer.
>Television goes straight into their subconscious, with no filtering process. They have no conscious thought at all. This. People my age gather up information from all sorts of sources, filter it, analyze it, and develop their own opinion. Boomers will not even read/watch information if the source isn't a named talking head on TV.
My mother had a period where she only would listen to Keith Olbermann. If it came from any source BUT Keith Olbermann, it wasn't reputable in her mind. She could see a video on twitter of a train derailment but until Olbermann said it happened it didn't happen.
>>507608432The thing is i don't. I wish they could just retire in peace, and use the wealth they obtained for the betterment of their grandkids, etc. Instead they broke society over COVID and Trump and squandered away whatever wealth they built during their working years for short term feel-goods like Slot Machines or Motorhomes.
My grandmother died in her home, surrounded by 2 generations of family, Rosary in hand, looking out her window at her flower garden, in her favorite room in the house she and my grandfather built when they were just 20.
My dad died alone in a hospital 1500 miles away from any family because he decided he needed to go on one last Carnival Cruise before he died. His last year on earth he barely saw anyone, grandkids, us, friends from church, because he was terrified of COVID because of TV.
The contrast in how my dad died vs how my grandma died says everything about the narcissism of the boomer. They're self-centered and lack the grace and humility their parents had.
