Even if we pretend that the holocaust happened, “holocaust survivor” is extremely vague. Anyone who even would have been targeted for persecution in the Third Reich and was born by ‘45 could call themselves a survivor, even if the Reich never reached them or if they moved to another country before facing persecuted.
